What was done?
Today we applied material to prevent grubs from damaging your lawn. For best results, it needs a little water to work…
What you can do to help?
We strongly suggest that if we do not get any rain within two weeks of this application, you water your lawn for ½ hour. This will activate the material and move it down into the thatch layer where the grubs live. (You don’t have to do the entire lawn at one time; you can do one area a day until you have hit the entire lawn).
Why this application is so important?
White grubs; the larva of many common beetles such as the Japanese Beetles and Chafers, are the most widely distributed of all turf damaging insects. Many of these beetles are active at night, may not be noticeable during the day, and the landscape material may not be showing damage. The grubs feed on the roots of turf grass and can completely kill an entire lawn when left untreated. It should be noted that this product may also suppress other lawn damaging insect pests. We have seen many untreated lawns with substantial damage, while lawns that received this application had minimal or no damage at all.
